Third Day in Taipei
On the third day in Taipei, we rent a taxi to take us somewhere further in Taipei.....

This is one of the hottest tourist spot (a must go) in Taipei.

Here, visitors can experience traditional culture of Taiwanese and also... more FOOD :)
I think JiuFen is most famous for its Pineapple Tarts!
I didn't like them very much. We ate some samples and bought some back but somehow, mom and sis thought they tasted different from the samples......... dishonest business (hiss.....)We also tried Peanut Ice-cream (direct translation)
So what they do were they carved the peanuts into pieces, put together with vanila ice cream and wrapped it up in popiah wrapper....VOILA!
This one tasted so-so only. I remembered taking a bite and passed it to my mom and I'm not sure who finish it by the end.....Oh, this next photo has a story to tell......
We watched Taiwan TV show almost every night so on one of the night before we make our trip to Jiu Fen.,we actually saw the above lady on TV, being conned by a girl who claimed to be a tv host from Hong Kong. All she wanted was just extra hot dogs. What this auntie did was she went to the back of her shop and changed to the above costume (probably she wasn't wearing like this previously). The girl even shared the video you know! Extremely funny! So this aunty was what we were expecting to see in Jiu Fen and we can't stop laughing when we see her. Jon lagi syok:
So that's about it for Jiu Fen. I have lots of photo on food but I am too lazy to edit everything :(
We did a lot of 'wondering around' before we left for our next destination: Golden Waterfall.

Paiseh! Before we actually took off to Golden Waterfall, our driver was caught by the police officer for driving recklessly. Poor guy. He was just trying to make a U-turn on a sharp corner to fetch us...mana tau.......
Back to the Golden Waterfall. From the name, I seriously thought it is going to be a huge thing!
Well, this is how small big it is actually:
*spot my new shoes!*
Next stop:
Yehliu Geopark

The weather was VERY HOT and the wind blew like crazy. We made a quick stop here because the only thing you can see here is:
All the rocks here are shaped naturally, either by the pressure from sea water, wind, etc. The most significant and a must-capture sculpture is this one:
It is supposed to look like the head of a queen and I didn't know it until after I visited this place! Hahaha.... I was like why so many people queue to take photo of a 'looks like nothing' rock one?!
After the rock-seeing, our driver took us to our final destination:
KEELUNG MARKET
This is the place with the most XIAO CHI (小吃). Here, there aren't many tourist around, probably due to its farther location. It is fascinating to see how squeezy this place is but yet, so many people are squeezing to eat/buy food! This is where I bought my pair of Birkenstock too =)
We ate few things over here like shark fin soup, black glutinous rice, fried squid and mango dessert:
